Come join in the fun as we blast balloons in Socorro and celebrate the legend of the famous Socorro County Lawman Elfego Baca, who single handedly stood off 80 (OK it may have been 40) raging cowpunchers, from inside an adobe jail in Reserve, NM. Over 4000 rounds of ammunition were fired at Baca, who held them off until they ran out of ammo!!

The shoot begins with a clinic by Curt Moore on Friday with sessions for beginners and advanced shooters. For more information go to WWW.CurtmooreshootfireRanch.com. you can sign up and put down a deposit to save a spot right there on line. Space is limited

Elfego Baca Rides in with a big bag of money too! This shoot carries at least $2500.00 in prize money!! Added money in the classes, as well as $500 split out to the Men's and Ladies Open and Limited Overall, and $250.00 each in the Rifle and Shotgun Classes. That's the minimum, there may be more!!

Stalls are $15.00 per horse per night, and RV hookups are $30.00 per night for complete hook ups including sewer and WiFi.

The main match starts Saturday morning with riders meeting at 10, and the first shot right afterward. It's a four stage main match, with rifle and shotgun, and maybe something fun for Saturday evening before we all join in for one of our famous potlucks in the trailer hood.
