Description
Join the Florida Peacemakers & Peach State Mounted Shooters at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, in beautiful Perry, GA just off I-75 Exits 135 or 136 (use the East Gate).
We will be competing in GNFA's Covered Horse Arena and covered Practice Ring 2 (both arenas are the same size). Covered Horse Arena will serve as Arena One and the Practice Ring 2 will serve as Arena Two. Our stalls will be located in Horse Barn #2 (480 stalls and 22 wash racks). The Show Office will be located in the 1st floor of the Covered Horse Arena's Announcer's Stand.
The two-day, 4X Points Southeastern Regional Championship (with AQHA), hosted by the Florida Peacemakers Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, will start on Friday night (3/10/2023) at 6:00 PM, with 2 stages (1 stage in each arena) of Cavalry, Shotgun and Rifle, followed on Saturday with the 4 Stage Main Match, starting at 8 AM. Regional Buckles for Overall and all classes, including Open and Limited Wranglers will be awarded for the 4 Stage Main Match. The Senior Incentive and Super Senior Jackpots will be based solely on the 4 stages of the Main Match (there will not be a showcase).
The one-day, 5X Points Southeastern Shootout hosted by the Peach State Mounted Shooters will start on Sunday (3/12/2023) at 8:00 AM with 4 stages and $5,000 added money. The Senior Incentive and Super Senior Jackpots will be based solely on the 4 stages of the Main Match (there will not be a showcase).
Standard move-in starts 8 AM Thursday, March 9, at 8am, there is an early arrival available for stalls & RV's available for Wednesday, March 8, 2023 (RV spots are booked via the GNFA web site). Move-out day is Monday March 13, 2023, by noon. Due to the RV spots being booked directly by the GNFA, please direct any RV spot grouping requests directly to the GNFA staff at: https://www.gnfa.com/p/rvreservations or 478 988-6557.
Stalls will be "U-pick" as you arrive (with a group save option by the first arriving member of your group - each saved stall must have a registered rider's name listed); therefore, no need to place multiple rider's stalls on one rider's entry form! You can bring your own shavings or bedding pellets (except no straw bedding is allowed).
Due to recent changes at PayPal, FPCMSA no longer accepts or maintains a PayPal account. All payments for both matches need to be paid by check (made payable to FPCMSA), cash, or credit card at the event (a 3.5% fee will be charged to all credit card transactions). If for some reason you cannot make it to the event once you've registered, PLEASE, go to your CMSA members section online to edit yourself out by Wednesday, March 8th, or after March 8th call Maggie Kuper at (804) 366-8803 or Nelson Riollano at (239) 222-3234.
Shooting Schedule:
Friday March 10th
6 PM Arena 1. Cavalry Stage 1 followed 15 minutes later with Stage 2 in Arena 2, there will be a 20- minute drag and course setup break, followed by Stage 1 in Arena 1, then Stage 2 in Arena 2 & Shotgun Stage 1 in Arena 1, ending with Rifle Stage 2 in Arena 2. Riders competing in multiple events should complete both stages of their first event, before starting their next event (if needed they will be rolled later in their 2nd or 3rd event), we will not start the next event in either arena, until all riders have had a chance to run.
Saturday March 11th
Main Match starts at 8:00 AM in Arena 1, with Flag Prestation, National Anthem and Prayer, followed by MM Stage 1 (Wranglers before AQHA), followed with MM Stage 2 in Arena 2 (Wranglers before AQHA), MM Stage 3 in Arena 1 shortly after MM Stage 1 finishes (Wranglers 1st & AQHA last), ending with MM Stage 4 in arena 2 (Wrangles 1st & AQHA last). Wranglers ground shooting in Arena 1 following MM Stage 3 (for both Matches, 1st gun for Saturday and the 2nd gun for Sunday).
Awards will take place 45 minutes after the last shot is fired on Saturday.
Sunday March 12th
Shootout starts at 8 AM in Arena 1, with MM Stage 1 (Wranglers last), followed 15 with MM Stage 2 in Arena 2 (Wranglers last), MM Stage 3 in Arena 1 shortly after MM Stage 1 finishes (Wranglers 1st), ending with MM Stage 4 in arena 2 (Wrangles 1st). No early runs for anyone.
Awards will take place 45 minutes after the last shot is fired on Sunday (to get you on the road as early as possible). If you want to stay over checkout is 12 Noon on Monday March 13th.
