This is a 5 + 3 (8 Hour total) Introductory Safety Session for new mounted shooters in Ontario.This session is for anyone wanting to try mounted shooting and join the OCMSA. This session will include introduction to firearm safety/safe holstering, rules and safety requirements of the sport. You should bring a sound horse and a western saddle. (If this is not possible, special arrangements may be made) This session will include live fire on the ground and from horseback. (No live ammo or firearms to be brought on premises.) Part I will be in-class, and dry fire safety training and ground fire only - five hours in length. Part II will include horse desensitization to gunfire, and participants will engage balloons on horse back. Participants must complete both session I & II for a minimum of eight hours safety training in order to successfully complete the Introductory Safety Session , and receive the Safety Certificate. 

Cost for both Session I and Session II is: $195 Total for the day.
